This years Tree Hugger’s Ball, scheduled for Saturday, June 23rd, in Blackstar Canyon (Silverado), CA, is a chance to experience the beautiful canyon areas we are striving to preserve while helping to educate the community about our vanishing wild spaces, and our vital part as stewards of the earth. Along with other environmental festivities, manufacturers of green products and services will be exhibiting at our event. Last year our expo presented fuel efficient, biodiesel & veggie cars, alternative energy, nutrition & native plant companies, and local environmental groups such as the Sierra Club, Santiago Creek Watershed Project, Friends of the Foothills and other grass roots organizations. We have recently become an acclaimed ZERO WASTE event thanks to the leadership of Stephanie Barger and the Earth Resource Foundation! With onsite composting, reusable dinnerware and recycling efforts, our 2010 event generated only ONE bag of trash! Wear an earthy costume and bring your own reusable dinnerware to receive free raffle tickets for prizes!
